At CrossFit Crude we offer strength and conditioning programming that is based on the CrossFit methodology. Whether you are looking to increase your strength and conditioning for your sport, or you aim to become a fitter version of yourself, we will deliver results. We are proud to be Fort McMurray’s original CrossFit box.
What is the Crossfit Program?
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program. It delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, sports and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience. We have used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and elite athletes. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. Skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen. The guiding principle at the core of our programming is constantly varied, functional movements, performed at high intensity.
What We Offer
CrossFit On-Ramp Program
The on-ramp program is in place to teach the athlete the proper technique, mechanics and form of various functional and dynamic movements. At CrossFit Crude we believe in ensuring our athletes learn proper mechanics and consistency of movement before progressing to high-intensity workouts.
* You MUST complete the mandatory 3 hour CrossFit On-ramp course before being able to enter a regular group class.
Price: 150$ for On-ramp.

Once you have completed your CrossFit On-Ramp Program, you are encouraged to take part in the group classes. These classes are lead by our highly skilled CrossFit Level 1 Coaches. The average class consists of group warm-up and mobility, strength training, skill work, and a WOD (workout of the day). Check out our schedule for more information.
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
You do not want to miss our HIIT Classes! The focus is on a full-body workout that will increase cardiovascular endurance and strength. All fitness levels are encouraged to join in for an hour of high-intensity. All movements can be scaled to meet the needs of the athlete.
* No Olympic Weightlifting or complex gymnastic movements are used in our HIIT classes.
Learn to Lift: Olympic Weightlifting
Our Learn to Lift class is for those who are looking to learn the basics of Olympic weightlifting, or hone their skills a bit more. You will learn how to warm-up and mobilize for Olympic weight lifting; strength training exercises for Olympic weightlifting, and the fundamental movements patters needed to efficiently execute the snatch and the clean and jerk.
*No experience or on-ramp necessary.
With gymnastics being a predominant part of CrossFit, we offer a weekly class that focuses on the foundational skills and progressions needed to become more skilled in CrossFit Gymnastics. Movements that are covered are: kipping, dips, handstands, pull-ups, push-ups and pistols.

If you are looking for a more one-on-one approach, CrossFit Crude can accommodate that as well. From learning the basics of fitness to programming for competitive CrossFit, we have you covered. Make an appointment with one of our trainers today!
Open Gym is a reserved time slot for athletes to come in and independently work on their own skills, programming, lifts, etc. There will be a CrossFit Coach on duty if you need help with any points of performance or progressions; however, keep in mind that this time is primarily self-instructed. The Coach on duty has authority to ask you to lower your weights or scale your movements if he/she feels your safety is in jeopardy. Non-compliance will result in you losing the privilege to attend Open Gym.
